THEATRE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

Hello. My name is Tair Rafiq. I am a writer, director, and producer. I am developing an Arts Council supported theatre project for schools, entitled ‘THE HAUNTING OF LENNY MAGGOT’. I have opportunities for people aged 16-24, with an interest in theatre making, to shadow the production during rehearsals in Rotherham in April 2025.
WHAT’S INVOLVED:
· Shadowing me as project lead.
· Taking part in warm up and cool down.
· Complete a questionnaire about your experience as a volunteer to be included in Arts Council report.
· Volunteer places to be assigned depending on availability.
DATES & TIMES:
The rehearsals run from 10am to 4pm, but volunteers attend hours as part-time according to their availability. Please state hours and number of days preferred.
Schedule:
Week commencing Monday, 7th April 2025 – 5 full days, may include a weekend day.
Break for Easter
Week commencing Tuesday, 22nd April 2025 – 4 full days.
The Rehearsal venue will be Rotherham Open Arts Renaissance on Westgate, Rotherham.
FURTHER INFORMATION:
This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity for young people studying theatre or with an interest in drama and theatre making. Any travel expenses will be reimbursed. Please provide copies of tickets or receipts.
